We are God's Children—gathered by Him in love—to bring glory to the Triune God, to pray, to seek the lost, to nurture the young in the Lord, to care for the hurting, and to encourage one another. We do this in obedience to His Word.

Church FamilyThis morning we celebrate with Ken and Jenny Tenbrinke as they present Nikolas Brody for baptism. We also install our new office bearers Henry Geldof, Peter Prins, Phil Tenbrinke, Rod Duckett and Herman Scholing Jr. We wish to thank the outgoing members of council: Henry Eisses, August Luymes, Paul Prins, Ed Stol and Rod Venhuis. Mr. Albert Biel went into the hospital last Thursday not feeling very well. He returned home this week again. No definite problem has been found. We pray for patience and strength for the Biel family at this time. Mrs. Ann Vander Wal was admitted to the Lacombe hospital this week as well. She has trouble breathing as there seems to be a fluid build up in her system. Pray that the doctors will be able to bring relief and that the Lord would grant peace and renewed strength to Ann. Mrs. Grace VanderVeen experienced a very mild stroke last weekend and was in hospital but quickly felt better for which we give thanks to God. Mrs Ruth Sluys is in hospital again with various complications. Though physically weak she is strong in the Lord and we trust He will provide through the efforts of the doctors and by his mighty power. Mr. Bill Wildeboer finished his 6 weeks of cancer treatments in Edmonton and we trust the procedure was successful. Continue to remember our shut-ins: Ann Swier, Margaret Bos, Theresa Salomons, Tena Ellen and Jackie Hartenhof.

Flower MinistryThis week the flowers go to Ken and Jenny Tenbrinke as they celebrate the baptism of Nikolas Brody. Congratulations to all the family. May the Lord guide and lead Nikolas as he grows that He may know the Lord as his personal Saviour. Prayer for the Persecuted ChurchPakistan - Christian staff at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences hospital in Islamabad face accusations of blasphemy. On May 17, Muslim nurses found lines drawn through Quranic verses posted on a notice board and told the nursing school administration that the Christians were responsible. On June 1, Muslims demonstrated against the Christians and demanded that they be charged with blasphemy. In response, the school's administration has filed a complaint. The principal of the school, Ms. Stella, was suspended along with four student nurses. All five deny any involvement in the vandalism. Pray that all charges will be dropped against these Christian women. Pray that they will stand firm in the face of these allegations. Pray that they will demonstrate Christ's love and compassion to those opposing them (Romans 12:17-21). From the DeaconsFrom the DeaconsNext Sunday is the day to return your “baby bottle”. In the Western region, there is a strong anti-Christ cult, which believes in a man called Bishaka. Followers are not allowed to go to school. Girls are forced into marriages at the age of 12 to 14 so they do not go further in their studies. Prayer is urgently needed so that God may open their hearts to receive the truth from His Word!
