2007-07-22 Bulletin

Welcome to worship this Lord’s Day at Bethel CRC. We come as followers of Jesus our Lord who calls us again today into closer fellowship with him. May God be praised in our worship today.  Do join us for fellowship and refreshments in the fellowship hall after the morning service.

Church Family

Congratulations to our seniors who are celebrating their birthdays this week: Hilda Zuidhof, Lillian Mercier, and Harry Van Stryland. May each of you have a wonderful day and a blessed year living in the fullness of God’s grace and love.

Continue to remember our shut-ins: Ann Swier, Margaret Bos, Theresa Salomons, Tena Ellen and Jackie Hartenhof.

Our missionaries around the world continue to covet our prayers. Some of them are in very dangerous places. As they share the love of God with the people around them, may they know that the Lord has promised to go before them – providing for their every need.

Flower Ministry

Flowers this week are going to Don and Amaris Wildeboer as they celebrate the gift of new life in Claire Isabelle.

Prayer for the Persecuted Church

While a small group of Christians were gathered for worship in Thadesa, Karnataka on the morning of July 15, the local police inspector entered the gathering and assaulted PastorRavi Benjamin (32) and Vijay (23) in front of the other believers. The inspector then took the two to the police station where he continued his assault for another three hours. Pray for healing for these two Christians. Pray that, in the midst of the difficulties they face, the believers in Thadesa will be keenly aware of the presence of Christ suffering there with them.

Bibles for South East Asia

Ministry in rural South East Asia is challenging. Police officers and soldiers spend time living in villages where they know there are Christians, so they can keep them from gathering together to worship and pray. But God often intervenes in miraculous ways! They ask us to pray with them, and send Bibles. Please call 1-800-363-9673 or go to www.bibleleague.ca to help The Bible League of Canada provide Bibles for South East Asia.
