New Years’ Eve Service

Tomorrow, December 31st at 7:00 p.m. join us as we end the year together reflecting back on 2007 in light of Psalm 103, “Echoes of Gods’ Love.”

We will be meeting in the Fellowship hall. There will be opportunity to share highlights from the past year.

News Years’ Day Service

On Tuesday January 1st at 10:30 a.m. we gather to begin the year in the light of God’s Word. As we welcome the New Year we will read from Revelation 21 and consider how only God can really make the New Year new when He declares, “Behold I make all things new.”

A note from the church treasurer:

If you would still like to contribute for the 2007 budget, this Sunday morning is the last opportunity for this as the final deposit for the year will be made on December 31st. Thank you!

Next Sunday, January 6th

We begin a series of sermons on “The Life of Jesus from the Gospel of Mark.” Having celebrated his birth we follow the powerful ministry of our Lord as recorded by Mark. In the evening we reflect on what an honour it is to honour God’s name. Pastor Mike will lead both services.

Our Church Family

This week please remember Lena Spelt in your prayers.

Mrs. Hilda Zuidhof was admitted to hospital last Sunday with abdominal pain. Having found an obstruction in her bowel the doctors operated immediately. At this time she is recovering well and resting comfortably. May our gracious God continue to provide Hilda with healing.

Carol DeWaal had a setback when her cast was removed. The leg bone had not healed properly and it will take more time. We pray for patience and strength for Carol and Albert.

Do remember our seniors in prayer during the difficult cold winter months.

Remember our shut-ins: Tena Ellen, Ann Swier, Margaret Bos, Theresa Salomons, and Jackie Hartenhof.

The secretaries will be in the church office this week on Thursday morning, January 3rd, and Friday, January 4th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

AS LONG AS THE EARTH ENDURES:

Can anything grow in winter? Or is it merely a season of cold and death? In some places it snows, while in others it rains. No matter what the winter conditions, it seems to last too long each year. What promises does God make for winter? Find out on the Jan.6 Back to God Hour. Go to www.BacktoGod.net for local stations and times.
