“All the believers were one in heart and mind.  No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had.”  Acts 4:32

Our Church Family

This week we remember Debby & Frank van Iperen and their children Steven, Michael, Philip, Hannah & John in our prayers.

Congratulations to Darran & Gayle Vreugdenhil with the birth of their daughter, Rachel Grace on February 1st. What a blessing for your family!

Hilda Zuidhof wishes to thank the congregation for their prayers, cards, flowers, calls and visits during her recover from surgery. She is feeling quite good again and is especially thankful to God for his healing grace.

Jenny Bajema went for surgery this past week to have a small cancerous spot removed from her bladder. We pray that the treatment is effective and the cancer fully removed.

Eleanor and Bill Wildeboer's grandson, Nathaniel, (15 month old son of Steve & Angela) was diagnosed with a brain tumor this past Tuesday. Surgery took place at the Stollery Childrens' Hospital on Wednesday. The family is grateful that the surgery went well and thank the congregation for their prayer support. Nathaniel will be in the hospital for an extended period and will need further procedures. If you wish you can go on the following website and receive further updates and express your support: www.carepages.com/stollery, register in, and put in NathanielSW. We seek God’s healing grace in Nathaniel’s life and strength for the parents and extended family.

Our condolences go out to Melanie (Rick) Wildeboer and the family with the death of her uncle, Peter Ypma. May God comfort the family in this time of sadness and loss.

Do remember our seniors in prayer during the difficult cold winter months as well as our shut ins: Tena Ellen, Ann Swier, Margaret Bos, Theresa Salomons, and Jackie Hartenhof.

Remember our missionaries around the world.

There are mailboxes for those of you who are new to our fellowship and have been worshipping with us for the past few months. You can also phone us at 782-6400 or email us at bchurch2@telus.net. Thank you!

A note from the Worship MLT

Occasionally members of the congregation will find a Service response form in their church mailbox. We ask that you fill this out and return it to Ann Wildeboer’s church mailbox. These forms allow us to get some feedback from church members about our worship services. Thank you!

Prayer for the Persecuted Church

On January 7th, unidentified assailants set fire to the house of 70 year old Rahima Beoa, a Christian convert from Islam. She shared the house with her daughter and son-in-law, also Christian converts and their children. Beoa and her nine-year-old grandson were home at the time of the blaze, but the boy managed to escape. According to a local pastor, villagers were upset by Beoa's planned February 13th baptism. They were also angered by the conversions of her daughter and son-in-law and his evangelistic work. On February 1st, Rahima Beoa, died from the severe burns she suffered in the fire. Pray that the loved ones of Rahima will know God's comfort, peace and boldness and that her family will stand firm in their faith. Pray that Christians in Bangladesh will confidently entrust themselves to Christ (2 Timothy 1:7-12).
