2009-01-04 January 4 Bulletin

We are God's Children - gathered by Him in love - to bring glory to the Triune God, to pray, to seek the lost, to nurture the young in the Lord, to care for the hurting, and to encourage one another. We do this in obedience to His Word.

Our Church Family

Please keep Bill and Audrey Noordhof in your daily prayers this week.

We are thankful Tony Middag is doing well, recovering from hip surgery. He could even come back to Lacombe on Tuesday. May God grant healing and grace during the time of recovery.

As we finish the old year and start the new one, we want to say thank you to August Luymes in his role of church treasurer. August gives many hours to this volunteer position and we thank him for his dedication! Thank you too to Cindy & Dana in their shared role of church secretary. We appreciate the work you do for us each week!

Do remember our seniors and shut ins in prayer: Tilly Biel, Lea Dykstra, Tena Ellen, Wigger Meindersma, Theresa Salomons, Ruth Sluys, and Ann Swier.

Remember our missionaries around the world.

Church office hours change

effective this week, the church secretaries will be in the office on Tuesday mornings from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and each Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Lost and Found

Please check the lost and found box in the basement. There are some bed sheets in it as well as a table cloth, mitts, ski gloves, leather gloves, hats, a men’s summer jacket, T-shirts and pants, flip-flops and other interesting items. The box is located at the bottom of the front stairs directly to your right on the counter. The items that are left in it will go to the Thrift store this week. The secretaries are also in possession of several keys and a silver ring. If you have lost any of these items, please contact Cindy or Dana.

NEVER GIVE UP:

Does God love us more when we are good? Does God love us less when we mess up? Check it out on this week’s Kids Corner. Then check out the Kids Corner website at www.kidscorner.net for stories, devotions, puzzles and more.
