LOST & FOUND!

There are many items in the Lost & Found, located in the basement at the bottom of the main stairway, at the right hand side by the elevator door. There is a coat rack with several sweaters, jackets & coats that have been left in the church over the past 2 months. On the counter there is a box with hats, mitts, gloves, a stuffed beaver, baking and food storage containers, a blue back pack with baby items in it, a nicely packaged gift bag plus many other items! Please take a look, who knows, you might find something that is yours! Any items remaining in the Lost & Found at the end of January will be given to the Thrift store.

Persecuted Church

Egypt

On Wednesday, militant Muslims gunned down 7 Christians in southern Egypt as they were leaving a midnight Christmas Mass service. Egypt's Coptic Christians celebrate Christmas on January 7th. Another 10 people were wounded in what authorities appeared to brush off as an expected revenge attack for the alleged rape of a local Muslim girl by a Christian man in November. Egypt's Christian minority (about 10 percent of the population) is regularly harassed and discriminated against by the Muslim majority. Often that tension boils over into open violence, though the media and Western governments usually ignore it in order to maintain strong ties with the Egyptian regime. Pray for comfort for those who mourn for loved ones. Pray for strength and courage for Christians; may the Lord give them inner peace.
