Congratulations to Peter & Jessica Heidelberg who were blessed with the birth of a baby boy, Nolan Reed, on March 30th. Baby, Mom & family are doing well!

Congratulations to Gerrit Meindersma as he celebrates his 87th birthday this Wednesday, and to Teus Vander Vlis as he celebrates his 71st birthday this Saturday. To each of you we pray that that the Lord continues to bless you richly in the coming year!

Do remember our seniors and shut ins in prayer: Tilly Biel, Lea Dykstra, Wigger Meindersma, Theresa Salomons and Herman Scholing Sr.

To the Bethel Fellowship Hall on April 17th from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. to craft until you just can’t any longer! “But I don’t craft”, you say. Tuesday Nite Youth

Will NOT meet this coming Tuesday, April 6th. Leaders have a meeting.

Youth Unlimited/Wolf Creek Youth for Christ

Is planning an event called “Live It” on Saturday, April 17th at the 1st Baptist church in Ponoka. The purpose of this event is to train and equip Christian youth to better live out their relationship with Christ. For more information contact Dana van Gyssel or Chelsea Bos.

The Young Adult Retreat

Is set to happen on May 28-30, 2010 in Jasper. Ryan Pedde will be the speaker for this event and North of Tomorrow will be leading the worship sessions. Cost for this event is only $100 (Based on quad occupancy, no coed, at the Amethyst Lodge in Jasper, Alberta. This includes all meals except Saturday lunch. Transportation and activities are extra. Registration needs to be in by May 10th and cheques must be payable to “Classis Alberta North Young Adults.” Look for more information on the bulletin board or contact Dana or Wayne. Volleyball Tournament.

There will be a fun, competitive, co-ed (3 guys, 3 girls) volleyball tournament on Saturday, April 10th at the CACHS gym. Cost is $60/team and proceeds will go to a charity. Call Jen Zuidhof at 403-782-6672 by April 5th to enter your team or for more information.

The Freedom Singers

Will be at First CRC, Red Deer Saturday, April 10th at 7:00 p.m. Come and hear their story of incredible escape from persecution in a ship container; enduring storms, lack of food, water and air. Their testimony is not only riveting, but encouraging to all who have faith. An evening of testimony and Southern Gospel music. A free-will offering will be taken to help support their ministry.

BUILDING BLOCKS THRIFT STORE

Is having their yearly spring changeover on April 12th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with lunch included. Come join us for a few hours of work and fellowship as we change the store over to spring/summer clothes. Just drop in if you would like.

Gearing up for Rehoboth Camp*

And we need your help! Please join us in getting camp ready for this next season. Our first work bee at Rehoboth Camp will be April 14th at 9:00 a.m.*rain, snow or shine! The King’s University College

This spring we ask you to show your support for the mission of The King’s University College. Prayerfully consider making a gift in addition to contributions made to King’s through your church. Get out your paints, markers, and crayons . . . it’s Poster Time! Christian Reformed World Missions’ 2010 Poster Contest has begun. Create a poster with a missions theme and send it in to CRWM by April 16, 2010. Winning posters will be selected according to the following age categories: 6 and under, 7-8, 9-10, and 11 and above.
