Our Church Family

Please remember our church family in your daily prayers at mealtimes and during your personal devotions. Continue to remember those young and old with ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional struggles.

We want to remember in prayer the Rosendal family in their gradual recovery from the accident they were in. Also Craig Van Stryland in his recovery process as all the systems affected return to normal. Please remember too, Cora Stol as she prepares to receive her final treatment. May our God provide strength and healing.

Els Ebens fell on Tuesday and broke her wrist. May our gracious God provide healing and patience in the weeks of recovery

Eleanor Merkus will receive her back operation tomorrow in Edmonton. We trust the procedure relieves the pain and pray that God will bless the work of the doctors.

With thankfulness to God, in the last two weeks we have been blessed with two new grandchildren. With joy and thanksgiving, our son Steve and his wife Angela, on April 6th, received a daughter, Mirryn Abigail Marie. On April 15th, our son Randy and his wife Sue, received a son, Caleb Joel.

We give our gratitude to the Lord for the gift of new life. Eleanor and Bill Wildeboer

Please note the postal code for the following address given last week should be: Rick and Melanie Wildeboer, Box 12, Site 3, RR 1, Lacombe, AB, T4L 2N1.

Do remember our seniors and shut ins in prayer: Tony & Henny Middag, Ann Vander Wal, Tilly Biel and Lea Dykstra

Remember our missionaries around the world.

The Persecuted Church

Deadly violence. That's the scene across the northern states of Nigeria in the wake of the April 16th election of a Christian president.. The deadly violence is impacting churches, Christian homes and businesses, and mission compounds and pastors. The violence is erupting in predominantly Muslim states,. More than 60 churches were torched, thousands of houses belonging to Christians were destroyed, and both pastors and church workers killed. Christians in the villages were not spared. Many Christians were seen fleeing, abandoning their homes for fear of attack. “Last year there were more martyrs in Nigeria–approximately 2,000 Christians killed in the northern part–than in any other country in the world," says Open Doors USA "Nigeria is such a key country in the spread of Christianity all over Africa. Please join us in prayer for the Christians there, especially for those in the north.” Pray that the unrest will calm down and for wisdom and God’s direction for Christians. Pray for the Christians in the 12 Sharia (strict Islamic law)-governed states of northern Nigeria to put their trust in God amidst new attacks.
