Our Church Family

Please remember our church family in your daily prayers at mealtimes and during your personal devotions. Continue to remember those young and old with ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional struggles.

Thank you for the kind words, prayers, hugs, and meals that were given to us after dad’s passing. We are thankful to be a part of a larger family in Christ. We continue to take comfort in knowing we will see dad again someday and that he no longer has to suffer with pain. With sincere appreciation: Herman, Betty, Kendra, Megan and Kyle Scholing.

Congratulations to Jacob Prins with the celebration of his 85th birthday on Monday, July 18th. May God bless you with a special day with family and friends.

Do remember our seniors and shut ins in prayer: Tony & Henny Middag, Ann Vander Wal, Tilly Biel and Lea Dykstra.

Remember our missionaries around the world.

Next Sunday, July 24th

We pick up on the presence and power of the Holy Spirit in our lives giving us the fruit of “Spirit filled Joy.” We read from Luke 2:25-35 and Simeon’s joy in seeing the Savior. In the evening we read from Ephesians 1:3-14 and express to our modern world the “Hope of Redemption.” Pastor Mike will lead our worship.

The Persecuted Church

Iran

The death sentence of Youcef Nardarkhani, an Iranian pastor convicted of apostasy, has been upheld and confirmed by the Iranian Supreme Court. Pastor Youcef was arrested and imprisoned in October 2009 after protesting a decision by the government requiring that his son study the Qur'an. The delivery of the death sentence, however, was delayed. Many believe the delay was a means to pressure him to turn away from Christ in prison. He is but one of several members of his church who have been arrested by Iranian officials, and his wife has also spent time in prison because of her faith in Christ. Pray that God will continue to equip Pastor Youcef to stand firm in his faith. Pray that he will sense the love and support of all those praying for him and working on his behalf. Pray that the Iranian authorities involved will be convicted of their injustice and overturn the case. Pray for comfort to abound in the hearts and minds of Pastor Youcef's wife and children.
