Our Church Family

Please remember our church family in your daily prayers at mealtimes and during your personal devotions. Continue to remember those young and old with ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional struggles.

We pray that Henry Geldof’s surgery this Wednesday will be blessed with God’s healing grace.

Congratulations to Simon Swier with the celebration of his 91st birthday this coming Wednesday and Lies Boskers with her 88th birthday this coming Friday. May you each be blessed with a wonderful day with family and friends.

Please make the following changes to your church directories: Albert & Tilly Biel, #106, 4004 40 Street Close, Ponoka, AB, T4J 0A3, phone: 403-790-0114.

Over the course of this weekend Bethel youth and their guests have gathered at Bar Harbor Retreat Centre on Buffalo Lake. It has been a wonderful time of rest, reflection, and fellowship with our peers and their leaders. As leaders we ask that you pray for our youth and their connection to the Lord. The weekend theme has been “Who Cares?” Through the sessions that were presented by the Bethel leaders, may they discover our Lord in a new and exciting light! We look forward to meeting with you this afternoon to share our experiences!

Do remember our seniors and shut ins in prayer: Tony & Henny Middag, Ann Vander Wal, Tilly Biel and Lea Dykstra.

Remember our missionaries around the world. P

The Persecuted Church

Five Iranian Christians and ministers who were convicted of crimes against the Islamic Order on March 8, 2011 in Shiraz, Iran. They have been told to report to prison immediately to serve a one-year prison sentence. According to Jason DeMars of Present Truth Ministries their names are: Behrouz Sadegh-Khandjani, Mehdi "Petros" Furutan, Mohammed "William" Belyad, Nazly Belyad, and Parviz Khalaj. According to DeMars, Nazly is approximately seven months pregnant. Please pray for these brothers, and sister, and the little baby that is growing inside of her. We ask for miracles to take place so that she does not have to be in prison. Also that the authorities will have mercy on this group of Christians, and that they will not despair but instead keep their eyes on Jesus, persevere in their faith, and not grow weary or lose heart (Hebrews 10:32-39; 12:1-3).
