Our Church Family

Please remember our church family in your daily prayers at mealtimes and during your personal devotions. Continue to remember those young and old with ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional struggles.

Congratulations to Ria Jager who will celebrate her birthday this coming Thursday. We wish you the Lord’s richest blessings on your birthday and in the coming year.

A heartfelt thank you to our church family. Thank you for the many good wishes, the beautiful cards and the lovely planter for our 60th anniversary. Over the many years that we have been here our church family has been a real blessing to us, a true gift from God. May He bless us all as we trust Him for the future. Gerry and Pita.

Do remember our seniors and shut ins in prayer: Albert & Tilly Biel, Lea Dykstra, Tony & Henny Middag, Lena Spelt, Grace Vander Veen and Ann Vander Wal.

Remember our missionaries around the world.

Next Sunday, May 27th

We celebrate Pentecost in the coming of the Holy Spirit in power to guide believers and the church in spreading the gospel and establishing the church. In the evening we read from Revelation 20 and “The 1000 year Reign of Christ.” Pastor Mike will lead our worship.

New Church telephone directory!

The secretaries will be updating our church directory in the near future. On Sunday, May 27th you will find a directory page in your church mailbox with the information that we currently have for you. Please do not take these pages home! We ask you to check your information and if it is correct, place the page in the secretaries’ mailbox (lower left corner) or give it to Cindy or Dana (we will be on hand in the foyer after the morning service that day.) If changes need to be made to your current information, please note them on the back of the page and then hand it in. If you will not be here on May 27th we will keep your page and contact you to update your information. Thank you from the church secretaries.

Bethel Newsletter:

Time to start thinking about the June edition of the Bethel newsletter. In June we celebrate Father’s Day and Graduation. We would ask that all those who are graduating from Grade 12 and Higher institutions of learning would please write us a couple of sentences about your plans for the coming year. We will include this in the newsletter so our congregation can congratulate you and pray for you in the coming year as you make your plans. If anyone has something to contribute, honoring their Father, we would love to have it. Please have all your contributions to the newsletter team by Monday, May 28th. We will publish later that week so it will be in your mailboxes on June 3rd. Thanks so much for helping us make a newsletter that is both fun and informative for all our members. C.A.C.H.S. presents Macbeth Off Kilter

The Central Alberta Christian High School Drama 20/30 class invites you to their year-end production of Macbeth Off Kilter. Who says Shakespeare's darkest tragedy can't give you belly laughs? Scotty Macbeth is a high school senior with everything going for him, including a giant ego and a penchant for plaid. When some goth classmates - the weird sisters - convince him that he, not his friend Duncan Morto, should be class president, his ambition leads him down a dark and absurd path of deception and expulsion. (No murder, of course. It's a comedy, after all!) Macbeth's plan is foiled when a hilarious cast of school faculty (including the goofy custodian, Willie, his love interest Nurse Doris and Oprah, the unstable psychologist) team up with a couple of angry expelled "ghosts" and start investigating the troublesome events at Highland High. Macbeth's cheerleader girlfriend and co-conspirator, Sadie MacNutt, cleans her way to total madness as her own guilt finally exposes their evil plot. Complete with witty word play, slapstick action and a shocking twist ending. So, come join us on June 5th, 6th or 7th for an evening of laughs. The doors open at 7 p.m. and the play begins at 7:30 p.m. each night. Tickets are only $10. Give Ann a call at the school at 403-782-4535 to purchase your ticket and reserve your seat soon! We look forward to seeing you there!
