Our Church Family

Please remember our church family in your daily prayers at mealtimes and during your personal devotions. Continue to remember those young and old with ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional struggles.

We express our condolences to Els Ebens and the family with the sudden death of her older sister Mary Eilander (Aalke) in Leduc this past Tuesday. She was 89 years old. The funeral was Saturday. May God comfort the family in their grief with the knowledge of our Lord's gracious love.

Ernie Stebner continues to recover slowly in the Red Deer hospital. We seek God’s patient grace for Ernie and Willie.

Remember our missionaries around the world.

What is Inspire Alberta? On February 15-17, 2013, at King’s University College, a retreat will be held for grades 9-12 students. Young people from all over Alberta looking to go deeper into who they are and what they believe. It is our prayer that you will experience worship as our response of all that we are – mind emotions, will, body – to what God is and says and does. That together we reflect the hands and feet of Jesus Christ as we explore the Kingdom and Children of God. A time to ponder what and who we have experienced so that in time, we can articulate in truth and love the revealing nature of God, who loves us all unconditionally. If this sounds like a weekend for you please contact Wayne, Dana, Pastor Mike for more information. Cost is only $25!! Persecuted Church

December 30, 2012, marked the 53rd outdoor worship service of the year for the Beijing Shouwang Church. Despite the arrests of at least 15 participating believers, thankfully all of them were released by noon that same Sunday. The outdoor worship services are very meaningful for these dedicated believers, especially considering that the overall number of arrests and detentions of Christians in China remained high in 2012. Another concern is that those imprisoned in China are often tortured and medically neglected. The spread of Christianity -- outside the official church is seen as a threat by communist authorities. Let's stand with our fellow believers in China as they seek God's continued strength, grace and victory for the year ahead. Pray for the church to flourish and thrive in the midst of many challenges. As a result, may there be a spiritual awakening in their land and the beginning of a great revival!
