CHURCH OFFERINGS
Today’s offering will be for the Cadet International Camporee. Kamp Lone Pine will be held on July 23-30, 2014. The Central Alberta Cadet council will be hosting this camp just 10 minutes southwest of Lacombe. We are expecting between 1000 and 1200 campers to attend. Through this camp we pray that these young boys ages, 11-16 will grow closer to Christ. Your gifts will go directly to the operation of Kamp Lone Pine.
Next week’s offering will be for Diaconal Ministries Canada which is a national organization that partners with churches and ministries across Canada to demonstrate God’s love in the community. More specifically it seeks to inspire, equip and encourage deacons, churches and their partners as they join in diaconal work in communities. Deacons in our church are supported directly through the services of a local Diaconal Ministry Developer. Previously our support for DMC was paid through Northern Alberta Diaconal Conference ministry shares. Now churches like ours are encouraged to raise funds for DMC through a collection.
