WE EVENT

Scripture reading: Mark 1:9-20, Luke 4:14-21

Following the service, we will have a potluck soup and bun supper. We ask that families whose last names begin with the letters A - O bring a pan of soup and the families whose last names begin with the letters P-Z bring prepared buns or fresh vegetables. The Fellowship Ministry Leadership Team will provide dessert. If you have not as yet attended a WE Event, we encourage you to come - it is a wonderful time of fellowship and learning together!

CHURCH OFFERINGS

Today’s offering is for Diaconal Ministries Canada which is a national organization that partners with churches and ministries across Canada to demonstrate God’s love in the community. More specifically it seeks to inspire, equip and encourage deacons, churches and their partners as they join in diaconal work in communities. Deacons in our church are supported directly through the services of a local Diaconal Ministry Developer. Previously our support for DMC was paid through Northern Alberta Diaconal Conference ministry shares. Now churches like ours are encouraged to raise funds for DMC through a collection.

Next week’s offering is for the GEMS program in the Christian Reformed Church. Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior is for girls in Grade 3 to Grade 7. They have had a fantastic year so far can hardly believe they have only a few meetings left. The collection on GEMS Sunday goes equally to the GEMS Service Centre so they can keep providing awesome materials for us to use, and to our GEMS girls club. This money is used for books, badges, crafting supplies, and special nights: theme day, father/daughter night, Grandmother's Tea, and Kub Kar races with the Cadets. Thank you so much for your ongoing support!
