CHURCH OFFERINGS

Today’s offering is for the work of Chris Enns and World Renew in Tanzania. Chris joined World Renew at the end of 2009 and is living in Mwanza, along with his wife Heather and their two boys – Ryan (7) and Jeremy (4). Chris’s background and expertise is in rural planning and development, with a particular focus on evaluation and project design. The main focus of Chris’s work is helping World Renew partners (churches and NGOs) in the Mwanza and Lake Victoria region of Tanzania build their capacity to carry out their development programs in the surrounding communities. These programs deal with economic empowerment, agriculture and food security, small business development, justice education, community based health care (including HIV and AIDS) and diaconal leadership training and development.

Next week’s offering is for Christian Reformed World Missions. Next Sunday is Pentecost, a time to celebrate the Holy Spirit. Through the gift of speaking in tongues on the first Pentecost, God made clear His desire to extend the Good News to all people. As we celebrate this special day, please consider making a gift through our morning offering to Christian Reformed World Missions to help proclaim God’s Word worldwide.
