2014-07-27 July 27 Bulletin

There are no worship services here at Bethel this week.

We are joining other Christian Reformed congregations in this area for a Worship service at the International Cadet Camporee west of Lacombe. We are invited to join the Cadets at Kamp Lone Pine for worship at 10 a.m. with a lunch to follow. Please bring your own lawn chairs. Directions from Highway #2 – at the Blackfalds overpass take Highway #597 (Aspelund Road) west to Range Road 27-5. Go north for 3 km and look for the signs.

Sunday, August 3rd

Pastor Gary Bomhof from 1st Red Deer will lead us in our morning worship and celebrate the Lord’s Supper with us. Missionary Albert Strydhorst will lead us in our afternoon worship and will be preaching about “A Great Work” from Nehemiah 6:1-4. Pastor Charles will be leading worship in the 1st Red Deer CRC.

Please remember our church family in your daily prayers at mealtimes and during your personal devotions. Continue to remember those young and old with ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional struggles.

We continue to remember the Swier and Dowling families, as well as their extended families, as they mourn the loss of Simon Swier. May they experience God’s nearness and comfort.

We pray for Gerry Doornenbal. As Gerry’s health has declined, let us ask the Lord that He would be near to Gerry and Pita, and provide suitable and sufficient care for Gerry.

We remember Els Ebens and her family as they consider different living arrangements for her.

Congratulations to Nelly Keitel who will be celebrating her birthday tomorrow. May our Lord continue to richly bless you in the coming year!

Dear Bethel Family. What a joy it is to be back among you! We are so blessed to have a warm and welcoming church family to return to. And what a special surprise to arrive in our new home and find the fridge, freezer, and pantry amply stocked with good things from so many of you! We are truly grateful for your generosity and thoughtfulness. Please feel free to come by for a visit! We're at 5036-57th Street and our phone number is 403-782-0252.

Mark, Selina, Luke, and Levi Patterson

Do remember our seniors and shut-ins: keep Albert & Tilly Biel, Klaas Boskers, Leah Dykstra, Ernie Stebner and Grace Vander Veen in your prayers.

Pray for our missionaries around the world.

International Camporee: Continue to pray that God would use this event to grow the faith of many boys and men. Pray for the safety of all who are in attendance.

VBSPray for the leaders and the preparations that need to take place. We ask that God will use this ministry to bring many children and their families into Bethel to hear the gospel message.

Pray that we would have a hunger for God’s Word, and that God would use it to transform our hearts and lives.

Pray that Bethel would be a loving and caring community. May we be a praying community that prays for each other, and in all times and circumstances.
