OUR CHURCH FAMILY

Please remember our church family in your daily prayers at mealtimes and during your personal devotions. Continue to remember those young and old with ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional struggles.

Congratulations to Gerald & Michele Noort who will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary tomorrow! We wish you God's continued blessings in the years to come!

Willy Stebner covets your prayers as she undergoes hip surgery Monday, Aug 25th. We pray for God's strength and healing.

Do remember our seniors and shut-ins: keep Albert & Tilly Biel, Klaas Boskers, Leah Dykstra, Ernie Stebner and Grace Vander Veen in your prayers.

Pray for our missionaries around the world.

Jr. & Sr. High

It’s that time of year again!! The Annual Bethel Youth Retreat at Bar Harbor is fast approaching. Fruit of the Spirit will be our theme and it will be delivered to us by Matt & Shara Chapek. Matt originally from Kansas City, Missouri and Shara originally from Alberta (she also happens to be Carina Tenbrinke’s sister) met while serving as full time missionaries with YWAM in Lakeside, Montana. In YWAM Shara was a full tume Bible teacher, she has a passion to teach people the truth about the character of God and what his word says. Matt has been a worship leader and was using his love for music as an audio engineer. He is passionate about helping people experience a deeper intimacy with God through his worship leading. Recently God brought this couple to Port Charlotte, Florida to partner with a church called LifeSource Church. Matt has been hired as their new worship pastor and they are both loving their new life in Florida so far. Plan for this event. Mark September 5th - 7th on your calendars and invite your friends. The cost for the event will be $30 and registration/consent forms are located on the table in the foyer. Place your completed form and monies in Dana van Gyssel’s mailbox. Please contact any of the Bethel Youth Ministry team leaders, Andrew Tenbrinke, Curt Dowling, Jan Rodenburg, Gayle Vreugdenhil or Debby van Iperen if you have any questions.

PERSECUTED CHURCH

Ukraine

Four young Christian workers were recently captured by pro-Russian separatists in Eastern Ukraine and beaten to death. These young men were faithful Christians who cared about evangelizing. Also a Christian broadcast tower was shot down and destroyed. Broadcasters are looking for a new location to resume broadcasting to the millions of residents of Eastern Ukraine. We are doing everything we can to give hope to people in a seemingly hopeless situation, but more than ever, we are desperate for your prayers and for God to move in the lives of the people of Ukraine. Please pray for those who continue to serve and risk their lives every day to see the Gospel go forth. Pray for peace in Russia and Ukraine.
