Pastor Mike has a Classical appointment at First CRC in Edmonton. Pastor Ken Vis, formerly from Covenant CRC in Edmonton will lead our morning service. In the afternoon at 4:00 p.m. we have another WE Event celebrating God’s Covenant faithfulness.

ServiceLink: National Volunteer Week As North America celebrates volunteers this week, we praise God and show appreciation for the many “servant hearts and hands” who volunteer time, talents, and treasures in churches, communities, and around the world. Give thanks for the various gifts and resources God provides his people and for the many blessings received through the ministry of volunteers.

Council Executive High-Lights:

· Reviewed minutes from all Ministry Leadership Teams

· The next WE event is on April 26th at 4 p.m.

· We transferred the membership of Brent Venhuis to Nobleford CRC

· Please continue to pray for the nomination process of office bearers.

Living Members 

are invited to meet tonight, following the evening service at August and Harriet's home. Please read pages 38-45, chapters 7 & 8.

Craft Day: 

On Saturday, April 25th we will meet in the fellowship hall from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Coffee, tea and a warm lunch will be provided. Save the Date: VBS is coming again this August, from the 10th to the 14th. 

Our theme this year is Everest: Conquering Challenges with God's Mighty Power. To make a fun, learning week of climbing heights happen we need YOU. Start thinking of ways you can get involved. What talents can you contribute? In May we will start filling specific positions. Especially if you want your child to attend, we need you to make it happen. Contact Erin Lewin if you are interested in helping out.

BETHEL YOUTH

Tuesday Nite Youth 

is finished for the season and we as leaders would like to wish our students a wonderful spring and summer. May our Lord continue to bless you and keep you safe until we study again in the fall! Don’t forget to continue in your devotionals and keep an eye in the bulletin for events throughout the summer. If you have any concerns or would like to meet with your leader call them up. They would love to hear from you, Anytime, Always!!

Bethel Cadets 

Are thinking on April 25th to blast off Rockets. We are still finalizing the time and location. If you could let Grant Z. know if this date works for you right away so we can hopefully have everyone there. Also keep May 29th – 31st on your calendars. Spring Camp-out will be west of Bentley this year, hosted by Red Deer Cadet club. There will be opportunity to go fishing in a private pond during the weekend. We will have consent forms ready for your parents soon. Contact Grant for more information.

Young Adults 

WAYNE GRETZKY. Ok now that you have started reading this lemme fill you in. CANYA is hosting a young adults retreat in Canmore this May. Here's the deets: May 29th – 31st at the Holiday Inn, Canmore AB. Things to expect, but not limited to, are; Speaker discussing the challenges of the Christian journey, reflecting on Romans 5:3-5, riding elevators in hotel, worship, hockey themed scavenger hunt, eating, fellowship, Banff hot springs and more! The Classis Alberta North Student Fund Committee 

exists to provide financial assistance to members of churches in Classis Alberta North who are preparing for full-time ministry (ordained or unordained) in the Christian Reformed Church. Ordinarily no financial assistance will be provided to students enrolled in non-seminary post-secondary institutions. If you are a student who is entering seminary in preparation for full time ministry within the Christian Reformed Church and would like more information about this support, please contact Ron deVries at canymc@gmail.com or 780-619-6566 by April 27th.

Grandparents & Senior Supporters’ Day at LCS: 

In thankfulness for your contributions to the children of Lacombe Christian School, we invite our grandparents and senior supporters to our annual luncheon on Monday, April 20th. Seating begins at 11:30 a.m. with lunch being served at 11:45 a.m. No RSVP is required.

The local Gideon Chapter 

will be holding their Annual Spring Banquet on Friday, May 1st at 6:30 p.m. at the Kozy Korner in Lacombe. The Alberta president will be our guest speaker and Gospel 792 will be providing great gospel music. Come for a lovely meal provided by Three Chefs Catering and learn about what The Gideons are doing this year. Tickets are $25 each and are available from Henry Eisses or Eleanor Merkus.

We’ve Turned Twenty!! The Lacombe Palliative Care Society 

invites you to join us in celebrating our “20th Anniversary Speaker Event” Tuesday, May 5th at St. Andrew’s United Church Hall, 5226 – 51st . Ave, Lacombe. Dinner 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Speaker, Kimberly Rideout. Kim is a cancer survivor who will speak of her journey following a cancer diagnosis and how she was helped along the way through the power of love, family and friends. CRC Grand Slam Slo-Pitch Invitational

Baseball season is almost upon us and this has made a few of us think about green grass, warm sunshine and catching a few fly balls out on the baseball diamond. This summer come on out for a fun event called the “CRC Grand Slam Slo-Pitch Invitational”. Get your church group co-ed slo-pitch team together for this first ever tournament being held on the weekend of July 10-12 at the Clymont Recreational area (near Devon, Alberta on Highway 60). The cost per team is $220.00. There is camping available on site for those who would like to camp near the diamonds.
