OUR CHURCH FAMILY

Please remember our church family in your daily prayers, at mealtimes and during your personal devotions. Continue to remember those young and old with ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional struggles.

Our Family of the Week is Jan & Jolyn Rodenburg and their children Grayson & Kesler. Please keep them in your prayers, remembering them as they prepare to move to B.C. at the beginning of June.

We offer our condolences to John and Teena Stol with the death of John’s brother in Ontario. They have made the drive out there to be with the family. May God comfort in his grace in this time of sadness.

Congratulations to Jeremiah and Sarah Basuric who were married in our church yesterday. May God richly bless you in your married life.

Pastor Mike and Barb are joining a Middle East study tour for the next several weeks. We will be traveling with a group of CRC pastors from Classis Alberta North. The goal is to develop a better understanding of the Old Testament narrative as we go from Egypt to Jordan and then to Israel. We would appreciate your prayers for:

- travel safety to and from and while we are there (Psalm 43:3)

- health and strength to make the most of this time (1 Samuel 25:6)

- for growth in Bible knowledge and deeper faith in Jesus as Messiah (Deuteronomy 6:5)

- to be faithful witnesses to the people there (2 Timothy 4:2)

Thank you so much for all of the love and support given to us as we grieved the passing of our Mom and mother in law. The phone calls, prayers, meals, cards and gifts were greatly appreciated. Pauline & Ralph Bos

Thank you: We would like to express our gratitude for all your prayers, visits, hugs, cards, gifts of food, and all the kindness shown to us in this time of Dad's passing. It has been comforting to be upheld by the community of faith. In all things we know that God's timing is perfect. It is a true blessing to know that we belong to God, both body and soul, in life and in death.

Murray & Annette, Ray & Tracey Wiersma and families.

Do remember those who are unable to worship regularly with us: please keep Albert & Tilly Biel, Klaas Boskers, Gerry Doornenbal, Lea Dykstra, Lillian Mercier, Ernie Stebner and Grace Vander Veen in your prayers.

Pray for our missionaries around the world.

Classis Alberta North: Faith Fellowship in Fairview – vacant

Denominational: Back to God Ministries International:

Arabic - Pray for our new program, Hadidh Al-sipat (“Talk of Ladies”), which addresses the needs of Arab women, who have increasing access to smartphones. While using computers for online spiritual resources can put them at risk, using smartphones allows them private access to biblical messages. Thank God for technology that allows Arab women to hear the truth in confidence.

PERSECUTED CHURCH

India:

Brother "Sadavir" regularly shared his faith among members of India's Koya tribe in the thick forest of the Dantewada district. It eventually cost the husband and father of three his life. Fearing the loss of their cultural identity, members of the Koya tribe attacked Brother Sadavir in 2010 and then again in 2012. Despite these previous attacks, Sadavir's ministry faithfully continued. In January a mob took him from his home and took him to their camp in the forest. His wife found him there, while they tortured him. Finally they killed him before her eyes, because even in the camp he had tried to convert them to Christ. Please lift up this widow and her three young children, as well as other loved ones who are sharing their immense grief, asking the Lord to minister to each one of them through the power of His Holy Spirit. Ask that every need of this family be met through the support of the local community and ministries like VOM. May this gruesome attack somehow be used for God's glory and drawing more Koya people to Jesus.
