This afternoon we will be having our last WE event at 4:00 p.m.

This afternoon we’ll explore how the Holy Spirit enables us to live as God’s new covenant people. We will end the event with a BBQ. Please bring a red or yellow salad or dessert that can be shared with others.

Next Sunday’s offering is for World Renew – Refugees. Will you welcome a refugee? - More than 13 million people have been displaced by the on-going violent conflict in Syria and Iraq. You can help. Please prayerfully consider and discuss within your congregation if you might sponsor a refugee to Canada. Information, including a resettlement handbook outlining the steps involved in refugee sponsorship, is available at worldrewew.net/refugeesponsorship. To join World Renew in providing humanitarian assistance to families living in camps, please visit worldrenew.net/syriaconflict.

Today’s offering is for Tuition Relief for local Christian Education here in Lacombe. Each year Bethel collects monies to contribute to the Tuition Relief Fund. This fund provides financial support for families who are having difficulty meeting their tuition obligations at Lacombe Christian School or Central Alberta Christian High School.

Next Sunday, June 7th

We will have the casting of lots for office bearers and then the installation of those chosen. We will read from Exodus 18 where God advises Moses to “Share the load.” In the evening we will begin a confessional series of sermons on the Contemporary Testimony - “Our World Belongs to God.” Pastor Mike will lead our worship.
