Please
remember our church family in your daily prayers, at mealtimes and during your
personal devotions. Continue to remember those young and old with ongoing
physical, spiritual, and emotional struggles.
Our Family of the Week is John
& Teena Stol. Please keep them in
your daily prayers.
Happy Birthday to Ernie Stebner
as he celebrates his birthday on Tuesday. May God bless you on your birthday and in the coming year.
Nelly
Keitel’s brother Peter Rynsburger is recovering from colon cancer surgery in
Red Deer. There are additional cancer concerns as well as other complicating
factors so the family asks for our prayers at this time. Their comfort and
confidence is in the Lord through these anxious times.
Do remember
those who are unable to worship regularly with us: please keep Albert &
Tilly Biel, Klaas Boskers, Gerry Doornenbal, Lea Dykstra, Lillian Mercier, Ernie
Stebner and Grace Vander Veen in your prayers.
Pray for our
missionaries around the world.

Bethel News
Next Sunday, July 12th
We read from Numbers 14:1-35 as it pictures the people of Israel “Wandering in the Wilderness” but were they really wandering and was it really wilderness? In the evening we read from Hebrews 2:13 as we confess that “Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever.” Pastor Mike will lead our worship.
It is also “Ride your Bike to church Sunday.” In the nice summer weather, those who live within biking distance (or others who want to challenge themselves) are invited to bike to the church for worship.
The Spirit of Plan to
Protect®
was
a one hour free webinar for users of Plan to Protect®. This was an opportunity to have a
conversation on how to unleash and communicate the true spirit of the work and
resources they have to offer. The live
feed may be over BUT you can still watch, learn and have a conversation about
Plan to Protect®. If there is interest
to set up another viewing OR if you prefer to watch the recording on your own,
please contact myself, Dana, and I will hook you up with passwords to get you
into the member section of their website. A big thank you to those who attended the live feed. I enjoyed the conversation about our policy
and implementation here at Bethel.

PERSECUTED
CHURCH
PAKISTAN:
Last Friday marked the six-year anniversary of the arrest of Asia
Bibi, a Christian mother and the only woman presently on death row for
blasphemy. It all began when Asia was working alongside a Muslim extremist who
refused to touch the "unclean" water source from which the Christian
mother drank. This led to a verbal quarrel between the two women and subsequent
allegations that blasphemous remarks were made by Asia against the Muslim
prophet. Urgent prayer is requested for
Asia's current health situation. She is suffering from severe physical
problems; visitors told that Asia was "so weak she can hardly walk."
Lawyers are working on behalf of her, requesting that Asia obtains the urgent
medical treatment she desperately needs. Pray for Asia's immediate and safe release, asking the Lord to grant her
justice in an unjust world (Psalm 140). Also remember to uphold Asia's
concerned husband, children and other loved ones in prayer.
