Church Offerings
Today’s offering is for Lacombe Volunteer Link. It is a non-profit church operated service, a project supported by several different Lacombe & District community churches, providing volunteer service to the needy within our community. Volunteer Link’s volunteers drive people to medical appointments when they cannot drive themselves. They raise money for the Benevolent Fund. Volunteers have answered calls for snow removal, Lifeline, the Food Bank, packing & moving, grocery shopping and visitation.
Next Sunday’s offering is for World Renew in Tanzania. Our church has supported the work of World Renew in Northern Tanzania for many years. In the past we supported Margaret Njuguna and Chris Enns in their work in healthcare, sustainable agriculture, and income generation/micro-loans for the people in Tanzania. Jim and Josephine Zylstra continue their work, as well as, Paul and Elizabeth Kaufman and their four sons. They are working with Tanzanian partners in the Lake Zone: the Sengerema Informal Sector Association (SISA), the Africa Inland Church Tanzania (AICT) Diocese of Geita, and the AICT Diocese of Mara Ukerewe.
