June 12 Bulletin

OUR CHURCH FAMILY

Please remember our church family in your daily prayers, at mealtimes and during your personal devotions. Continue to remember those young and old with ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional struggles.

Congratulations to Harry & Hilda Van Stryland with the celebration of their 60th Wedding Anniversary on Tuesday, June 14th. May God bless you with a special day and be with you in the days to come.

Good news: Steve Ogi has a new date for surgery on his foot, July 13th. This is a much needed answer to prayer as he is having a lot of pain and difficulties getting around some days. Please continue to remember him in your prayers. Thank you from Steve & Caroline Ogi.

Do remember those who are unable to worship regularly with us: please keep Jenny Bajema, Tilly Biel, Klaas Boskers, Gerry Doornenbal, Lea Dykstra, Ernie Stebner and Grace Vander Veen in your prayers.

Pray for our missionaries around the world.

PERSECUTED CHURCH

INDIA

Children were among the 28 Christians who were beaten and driven from their homes twice within a two-day period. Local Hindu extremists in Katholi village had summoned four families to a public meeting --demanding that they recant their faith -- but the families refused. In the first attack, six believers were badly injured. When they returned home the next day, they were attacked again. The perpetrators justified the attacks by claiming their "gods were angry" that their neighbours had become Christians. After the police intervened and the assailants agreed not to attack again, the families were able to return to their homes. Please pray for the peace and protection of Christians in India. May the governing officials in India do more to uphold the religious rights of all citizens so these faithful believers will be able to practise their faith freely. Ask the Lord to change the hearts of those who have inflicted these injuries, helping them to understand the error of their ways and, ultimately, drawing them to faith in Him.
