Today’s offering is for the Canadian Food Grains Bank – a Christian response to world hunger. When conflicts or natural disasters strike or communities live with chronic poverty, the end result is often the same – extreme hunger for the world’s most vulnerable. At these times, people are forced to make hard decisions about how they will ration their dwindling food supplies. They also ration how they spend the limited energy they have on empty stomachs. Please support the Canadian Food Grains Bank as they along with World Renew seek to alleviate world hunger.

The offering next week will be for Friendship Ministries. The mission of Friendship Ministries is to share God’s love with people who have intellectual disability and to enable them to become an active part of God’s family. The ministry is international, inter-denominational, and 30 years old. Churches from more than 75 denominations in 28 countries around the world have been helped and equipped to include people with intellectual disabilities. Our Friendship group meets every Monday evening at 7 p.m. and is an active and lively group. Please keep the participants and leaders in your prayers.

On Sunday, August 21st

We continue our summer series on James, reading from James 4:1-12 where we are instructed to “Seek Spiritual Wholeness.” Pastor Mike will lead our worship.
