April 2 Bulletin

Next Sunday, April 9th

we read the account of Palm Sunday from John 12:12-16 and we welcome Jesus who comes humbly as the conquering King. Our theme of “Freedom from Fears” turns to our fear of being conquered by other things like addictions or phobias: The Fear of Conquest. As we confront our fears we are assured that Jesus sets us free and in him “All fears are gone.” Pastor Mike will lead our worship.

April 14th at 10:30 a.m.

Good Friday Service of remembrance. We will partake in the Lord’s Supper together.

April 16th at 10:30 a.m.

Easter Sunday Celebration service.

Please remember our church family in your daily prayers, at mealtimes and during your personal devotions. Continue to remember those young and old with ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional struggles.

Congratulations to Harry Wildeboer and Gerrit Meindersma as they celebrate their birthdays on Thursday and Friday. Wishing you gentleman a wonderful day filled with love and laughter with family and friends!

Do remember those who are unable to worship regularly with us: please keep Jenny Bajema, Klaas Boskers, Lea Dykstra, Ernie Stebner and Grace Vander Veen in your prayers.

Pray for our missionaries around the world.

An opportunity to make a difference, close to home! Camp Rehoboth

provides a one-week camp experience for people with developmental disabilities near Lacombe, AB. For one week you can leave the busyness of life behind you and be a special friend to a child or adult, and show them the love of Christ. It is a week of spiritual growth for both campers and volunteers! Our camper spots are getting filled, and we are hoping our volunteer list gets filled as well. For more information, check out our website: www.rehoboth.ab.ca/camps, or send us an email at: camp@rehoboth.ab.ca. With your help, we can “FLOURISH in the land.”

Despite recent ISIS terrorist attacks in Europe, church attendance seems to be skyrocketing with the rapid conversions of Iranian and Afghani immigrants to Christianity. While Europe has a history of low church growth, these Muslim-background believers are reported to be bringing the Christian faith back to life. One church leader says that about one of every four conversions are Muslims converting to Christianity. The Muslim immigrants converting to Christianity are having a noticeable impact on the overall church growth and attendance. Join us in praising God for the wonderful ways in which He is revealing the truth of the Gospel. Pray that many more people will open their hearts to Jesus so they may also experience the transforming power of His love!
