Today we bring our offerings for the Honduras Water Project. World Renew, the Northern Alberta Diaconal Conference, and Diaconia Nacional (Honduras) along with students from King’s University work together each year to make The Honduras Water Project possible. For many people in Honduras water sources may be contaminated, or they may be quite a distance away from their village and need to be carried home. Teams travel to remote villages in Honduras, to assist people in obtaining safe, clean drinking water and to learn the principles and practices of sustainable community development. They do this by building a simple, effective low-maintenance gravity water system. Many churches contribute financially to provide the materials for the projects; pipes, mortar, sometimes a pump, tools, standpipes, etc. and team members often raise their own funds to cover their costs to be part of this important mission.

Next week our church will take an offering for Christian Reformed Home Missions. Your support for CRHM makes it possible to provide coaching, training, resources, and funding to pastors, church planters, and leaders across North America. Together with you, CRHM is working to start and strengthen missional churches and campus ministries that transform lives and communities.

Our Good Friday Service

will be this Friday, April 14th at 10:30 a.m. We will join in the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper in remembrance of our Lord’s death as he commanded. We confess that our sins brought his suffering and death. The sermon will be on our biggest fear, the “Fear of Death and Hell.” Pastor Mike will lead our worship.

Next Sunday, April 16th is EASTER

and we celebrate the glorious resurrection of our Lord and are assured that through faith in him “All fear is Gone.” We also have the privilege of witnessing the continuing work of our living Lord in the public profession of faith of Grace Roolker. Pastor Mike will lead our worship.
