July 2 Bulletin

Please remember our church family in your daily prayers, at mealtimes and during your personal devotions. Continue to remember those young and old with ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional struggles.

Congratulations to Ernie Stebner with the celebration of his birthday this coming Friday. We pray for God’s blessings to him and to his wife Willie as she helps care for him.

Our condolences go out to Trudy & Ken Salomons, Angela & James Wildeboer, Gayle & Darran Vreugdenhil and their families with the passing of Trudy’s father, George op den Dries at the age of 94. The funeral was held this past Friday. May God comfort and bless in this time of sorrow.

We also remember Henry Geldof and his ongoing health struggles. We pray for tests to be done quickly so that results can be known and used to help him have relief from pain.

Do remember those who are unable to worship regularly with us: please keep Jenny Bajema, Klaas Boskers, Lea Dykstra and Ernie Stebner in your prayers.

Pray for our missionaries around the world.

Pastoral Search Committee:

What kind of Pastor is Bethel Church looking for? After compiling the congregation surveys, this is our conclusion: We want a man who is a passionate spiritual leader with a warm approachable personality. He is a good listener/communicator and a dynamic preacher who challenges us in our faith walk. The sermon should be his top priority followed closely by developing and maintaining relationships with members of all ages through visits, social gatherings and active participation with the youth.

If anyone has a suggestion for a pastor that we should consider, please fill out a form available at the back of the church by the prayer box. Deposit them in Cora Hoekstra’s mailbox. Also, anyone can read the church profile now. There is a link to it on the Welcome page of the church website at http://www.lacombebethelcrc.org

Please note

That we will be having regular Potluck lunches following the morning worship service throughout the summer. On July 23rd we will have a Hot dog & Salad Potluck lunch and on August 27th we will have a Hamburger and Salad Potluck lunch. Look for more details closer to the scheduled Sundays.
