CHURCH OFFERINGS

Our offering today is for Ministry Support for Diana Boot. Diana is working in Uganda as a Christian education Specialist, working with Christian teachers to help them grow in their understanding and practice of teaching as a reflection of their calling to serve God in all they are and do. She helps to develop intentional thinking and teaching practice that Christian teachers will, in turn, impart to others.

Next Sunday, September 10th we will take an offering for Calvin Theological Seminary. Calvin Theological Seminary is a learning community in the Reformed Christian tradition that forms church leaders who cultivate communities of disciples of Jesus Christ. Today, graduates of Calvin Seminary can expect to be ready for effective ministry in a rapidly changing multicultural world.

Food for Thought:

We were each created and called to praise God throughout our lives (Ephesians1:5-6; Hebrews13:15)....Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD. (Psalm150:6) When we pray in adoration, we stop focusing on ourselves and our storms, and start fixing our eyes on the only One who is fully able to handle any situation or request. (2 Corinthians 3:18). Stephen & Alex Kendrick, in "The Battle Plan for Prayer.”
