CHURCH OFFERINGS

Today, on World Hunger Sunday we bring our offerings for World Renew – World Hunger. Families in many parts of the world are working hard to break barriers that have kept them in a cycle of poverty and hunger. With your contributions you are helping these families learn ways to improve their lives and write a new story that is filled with hope and promise.

Next Sunday, November 12thwe will takean offering for Bible League of Canada. Since 1938 the Bible League of Canada has combined both Evangelism and Discipleship in its efforts to provide Christians around the world with a Bible and disciple them with God's Word. They do this through Scripture placements, Bible Studies, Church Planting and training and ministering to Christians everywhere.

Food for Thought: Philippians 4:6-7:

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus". Things happen that we will never fully comprehend. There is tragedy in this world that can cause deep pain. Even if we can't imagine how prayer can help, we are still invited to come to God. He may not give us the understanding we think we need, but He has promised peace, which is what will keep us safe in God.
