CHURCH OFFERINGS

Today we bring our offerings for Ministry Support for Albert & Carolyn Strydhorst. Albert is currently working with the Timothy Leadership Training Institute (TLT) through Resonate Global Mission and Calvin Seminary. In the past year TLT has trained more than 2500 people who do not have access to Bible school or seminary in over 30 countries. The Strydhorsts rely on ongoing support from churches such as ours as they carry on this training work based in Grand Rapids.

Next Sunday, December 3rd we will take an offering for The Mustard Seed – Red Deer. At the Mustard Seed they provide hearty meals to some of the most vulnerable people in Red Deer. We can share our blessings by providing support to the Mustard Seed so they can serve a hot meal and a hearty serving of hope. Their vision and mission for adults experiencing poverty and homelessness is to have their basic needs met, offering a growing hope and moving toward a sustainable life change and integration into the broader community.

Food for Thought:

Think about the spontaneous character of Peter's prayer. As he begins to sink, as soon as he finds himself going down, he immediately prays, "Lord, save me!" (Matthew 14:30). Peter's faith was a living thing. It might not always walk on water, but it could always pray. Prayer is better than walking on water." Charles Spurgeon
