Please
remember our church family in your daily prayers, at mealtimes and during your
personal devotions. Continue to remember those young and old with ongoing
physical, spiritual, and emotional struggles.
Do remember those
who are unable to worship regularly with us: please keep Jenny Bajema, Klaas Boskers, Rena DeRuiter, Lea Dykstra and
Ernie Stebner in your prayers.
Pray for our
missionaries around the world.
Bethel News
From
the Fellowship MLT:
We would like to make our Christmas season

juice. We would appreciate it if you could share some of your baking with
us for the December 25th and New Year’s Eve
services. Thank
you
From
the Treasurer:
Since December 31st falls on a Sunday, I ask that all
donations for the budget be submitted by December 26th to ensure
they will be credited to 2017. August

The Pastor Search Committee
is
still coveting your prayers. We are
awaiting the reply from Pastor Aaron Greydanus but in the meantime we have gone
over the profiles of the pastors we have looked at before. This is a busy time
for all pastors, but rather than adopting a "wait-and-see" policy
over this Christmas and New Year's season, we do not want to waste time,
either. We trust that the Lord will continue to guide us in these things.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Bill 24 Bulletin
announcement:
The recent passage of Bill 24 through the
Alberta legislature poses a significant challenge to the notion of the primacy
of parental rights with respect to the education of their children. This ought
to draw the attention and concern of all parents, including those who choose to
have their children educated in Christian schools. Please pray for all
educational stakeholders and the leaders of area Christian schools as they
address the issues arising from compliance requirements. If you require further
information, feel free to contact your local Christian school office.
