OUR CHURCH FAMILY

Please remember our church family in your daily prayers, at mealtimes and during your personal devotions. Continue to remember those young and old with ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional struggles.

Shirley Bos has an appointment with a rheumatologist this coming Thursday morning in Edmonton. We pray for wisdom for the doctors, for good understanding and insight as they try to figure out the best treatment for Shirley’s complicated health issues. John & Shirley covet your prayers as they find the travelling and the appointments more difficult as time goes by. They long for good answers and effective treatments or medications to manage the different issues.

Do remember those who are unable to worship regularly with us: please keep Jenny Bajema, Klaas Boskers, Rena DeRuiter, Lea Dykstra and Ernie Stebner in your prayers.

Pray for our missionaries around the world.

PERSECUTED CHURCH

Nigeria

Various attacks in central Nigeria late January resulted in the death of at least eight Christians and the destruction of dozens of homes. Fulani herdsmen and Islamist militants, raided a village near the city of Jos over a number of days. Many of those who survived lost everything they owned. Though the violence in the area has mostly subsided for now, Christians continue to fear for their safety. The average church attendance of around 400 is now about half that number at best, as some have fled and others fear gathering together. May the people in this village rest in the knowledge that the Lord is God over all (Psalm 46:10). Pray that the government will intervene in a way that will bring peace to the region. May God also work through the lives of His people, bringing the Gospel to their neighbours, so fellow Nigerians can experience His love and peace amid life's trials.
