OUR CHURCH FAMILY

Please remember our church family in your daily prayers, at mealtimes and during your personal devotions. Continue to remember those young and old with ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional struggles.

Congratulations to Neil Johnson as he celebrates his birthday on Monday. Wishing you the Lord’s richest of blessings into your new year! J

Do remember those who are unable to worship regularly with us: please keep Jenny Bajema, Klaas Boskers, Rena DeRuiter, Lea Dykstra and Ernie Stebner in your prayers.

Pray for our missionaries around the world.

Call for submission: NADC for DOE 2018

This year’s Day of Encouragement will be organized around the theme of "Sacred Spaces." We would like to invite any congregational members who are avid photographers, poets or spoken word artists to contact the NADC consultant about submitting their work to be used and/or displayed for that day. We are looking to display art from our own members in the atrium at the King's University, much like we did last year with the Mustard Seed art. Bill 24 Legal Challenge:

Lacombe Christian School, Ponoka Christian School, Rimbey Christian School and Central Alberta Christian High School have joined a coalition of schools and individuals seeking an injunction to suspend Bill 24, an amendment to the School Act passed in the fall session of the Provincial legislature. This bill unfairly restricts parental and religious rights, and its constitutionality is being challenged on this basis. A court date has been scheduled for June 8. Please pray for these schools and Societies and the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms, their legal representative, as they seek justice in this vital matter.
