This week we will take an offering for the Benevolent Fund. Dear Congregation. Praise be to the Lord for His blessings. We, the Deacons, appreciate the support that you, Bethel congregation, have given us this past year. We have been able to help a number of families that needed our assistance as it has been a difficult winter for some. At this time we come to you once again to help us to help those in need. We find our benevolent fund needs to be bolstered up so we can continue God’s work in caring for those in need. We would ask that you prayerfully consider what you can do to help financially. We will have a collection for the benevolent fund next Sunday May 27th. Thank you and may the Lord bless you.

Next Sunday, June 3rd we will take an offering for the Back to God Ministry International. At BTGMI, the deepest desire is to see God’s Word change the hearts and lives of people around the globe. Their mission is to proclaim the Gospel, disciple believers, and strengthen the church. Geography, poor educational systems, and religious persecution can make hearing the Gospel a challenge. Through media, technology, and our indigenous ministry teams, BTGMI is helping to overcome that challenge.

Food for Thought:

What drives your prayer? The ongoing cry of the Church is, "Even so, come, Lord Jesus!" That (future) vision must shape our prayers, so that the things that most concern us in prayer are those that concern the heart of God. Then we will persevere in our praying, until we reach the goal God Himself has set for us. D.A. Carson, in Praying with Paul.

Next Sunday, June 3rd

We welcome Pastor Ryan Pedde from Bethel Community CRC in Edmonton as he leads us in worship. All are welcome as we join in praise and worship!
