Please
remember our church family in your daily prayers, at mealtimes and during your
personal devotions. Continue to remember those young and old with ongoing
physical, spiritual, and emotional struggles.
Jenny Bajema
will be moving to Sunset Manor in Innisfail this Wednesday, June 27th. She is looking forward to the move and would
appreciate visitors when the move is complete. Please keep Jenny in your prayers as she makes this transition.
From Diana Boot:
Thank you for your gifts towards my work
here in Uganda. Last week I visited three schools in Entebbe. The head teacher (principal) of one of those schools had attended the training
on Preventive and Corrective Discipline. When the course began, he
was a strong and vocal advocate for using corporal punishment (beating, caning,
hitting, and pinching) as a way to manage behaviour of children. Over the
course of the week, I could see his thinking change. Now he has asked me to come and co-lead a
workshop on discipline with his staff! In this way transformation
happens; slowly but surely. Please pray for this leader, Paddy. He's young and competent and truly desires change. I'm so grateful
for the gifts of God's people that make this work possible! Blessings, Diana
In your
mailboxes today there is a new information card and prayer letter from Diana
Boot. Please remember her as she does
God’s work in Uganda.
Do remember
those who are unable to worship regularly with us: please keep Jenny Bajema, Klaas Boskers, Rena
DeRuiter, Lea Dykstra and Ernie Stebner in your prayers.
Pray for our
missionaries around the world.

Pastor Search Committee:
We
are back at it. We went through the list of Pastors on the CRC
Portal. There are approximately 50 names to consider. (Pastors who have
updated their profiles and their ministry preferences match our church) We have divided them up between us and now we will read profiles, listen to
sermons and contact them to see if they would be open to a call.

PERSECUTED

Pakistan
Christians frequently face false accusations from community members and
authorities. On May 29th, such an allegation resulted in the death
of a 24-year-old Christian. Waqas Masih was assisting his uncle with a
construction project when police approached them on the pretence of
drugs. As a heated argument ensued and threats were made, Wasaq
panicked and fled. The officers chased after him, caught up to Wasaq and
beat him to death, claiming that he had simply
fallen. Authorities pressured the family to drop their testimony
against the officers, even offering them money. Please remember the family, as they grieve
thier loss and also try to stand for what is right. Pray that the truth
will come out and that those responsible will be held accountable.
Intercede for the safety of other Christians throughout Pakistan, including
those who've been falsely imprisoned.
