Our offering today is for Lacombe Christian School. LCS believes Christian Education to be an extension of the church, where Alberta Education’s Curriculum is taught with a biblical perspective.

The next Sunday, September 9th, our offering will be for support for Albert & Carolyn Strydhorst. Albert is doing ministry with the Timothy Leadership Training Institute in Grand Rapids. TLT is a non-formal inductive learning program for church and lay leaders around the world. They have training materials in 20 different languages, and these materials are available in more than 40 countries. Thousands of pastors and evangelists have been trained in TLT in the past 20 years. Please continue to keep Albert & Carolyn and their family in your prayers. They are very thankful for our ongoing spiritual and financial support.

Today is Pastor Steve’s last Sunday leading us in worship here in Bethel.

Next Sunday, September 9th is the Youth Retreat at Camp Sonrise in Rocky Mountain House and Pastor Steve will be part of that. Please take a moment today to talk with Pastor Steve. We are so thankful for his pastoring to us and leading us in worship this past summer. It has been a blessing to our church family and we pray it has been a blessing to Pastor Steve!

Food for Thought: James 2:10 reads: For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just onepoint is guilty of breaking all of it. Think of that the next time we sing, Here I am to Worship. The line, "I'll never know how much it cost, to see my sin upon that cross..." Stop to think how much Jesus did for you!

Next Sunday, September 9th

We welcome Elder August Luymes as he leads us in worship. The message will be from Acts 16:8-15. All are welcome!
