2018-09-09 Bulletin

Please remember our church family in your daily prayers, at mealtimes and during your personal devotions. Continue to remember those young and old with ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional struggles.

The Noordhof family would appreciate your prayers as the care for Bill has become too much for Audrey. Bill will remain in respite care for the time being as decisions are made as to the best place for him to receive the care that he needs.

Let us remember our Bethel students, their guests and our Bethel Youth leaders as they are worshiping this morning at their annual Youth Retreat. May the Lord fill their hearts and guide them on the journey home this afternoon.

Congratulations to Teena Stol as she celebrates her birthday today. Wishing you a lovely day filled with the Lord’s rich blessings with family and friends! J

Do remember those who are unable to worship regularly with us. Please keep Jenny Bajema, Klaas Boskers, Rena DeRuiter, Lea Dykstra and Ernie Stebner in your prayers.

Pray for our missionaries around the world.

Creation Ministries speak on Amazing Evidences for a Young Universe

Get Answers! Does God exist? How can anyone believe in religion when science has neither a need nor a place for God? If God is a God of love, why do we suffer and die? This is an issue that affects everyone! Evolution teaches us there is no need for God, there is no spiritual realm, and there is no afterlife. According to the theory, spirituality is just an evolutionary trick of the mind! Come hear Gus Olsthoorn from Creation Ministries speak on Amazing Evidences for a Young Universe on November 17th at 6:30 p.m. at Parkland URC. Anyone 10 yrs and up are encouraged to come.

Small Groups: Free of Me

We live in a culture that says it’s all about you. But if we live our lives focused on ourselves, we can miss the greater purpose God intends for our lives. In this 5-part series, Sharon Hodde Miller invites us into a bigger, Jesus-centered vision—one that restores our freedom and inspires us to live for more. Based on her book Free of Me, this study unveils our deepest insecurities and equips us to focus on God and others instead of ourselves. This study and others are located on the Rightnow Media site or the App under the Bethel CRC library and then the Weekly Feature. Take a look today!! If you are in need of assistance, please contact Dana.
