Next Sunday, November 18th

We welcome Pastor Jeremy Vandermeer from Centrepointe CRC in Edmonton, as he leads us in worship. All are welcome! J

The Children's Christmas Worship Service

Will be held on December 9th as the morning service. There will be a short meeting of all Sunday School teachers, Treasure Seekers and Tuesday Night youth leaders, Sound and Powerpoint persons after church today to quickly go over the service and what needs to be done. Bring your coffee and meet downstairs in the council room. Any questions, contact Harriet Luymes 782-2572.

Food for Thought:

Have you ever thought that you are too young to turn to the Lord? That you didn't know enough about Him? That you are too easily moved to do what your friends, class mates are doing and you just drift along...but you need HIM? "Don't worry," He says, "I heard that SOS whispered under your breath. And I will send my armies to come to you in the darkness..."

He Hears You, Sees You, Knows You, and most of all, He Wants You!

From the Worship Ministry Leadership Team:

The “new” red Lift Up Your Hearts hymnal was published by Faith Alive in 2013 as a companion to the grey Psalter Hymnal which contains some songs that are not in the LUYH hymnal. The new hymnal contains 850 songs which consist of treasured hymns, new hymns, contemporary songs and songs from the global church. Songs from this hymnal are often part of our worship services here at Bethel. Although we do not have the hymnal in the church pews, there are some copies of the book that are available for use if you prefer to sing along with music in the worship service. These can be found on the shelf beside the sound booth near the east sanctuary entrance. We ask that you return the book to the shelf at the end of the service. If you are interested in having your own copy of the Lift Up Your Hearts hymnal, please contact Cindy Prins at 403-357-9181.

Our Church Family

If you have a prayer item and would like the congregation to pray for you during the week, it is suggested that you contact your District Elder. If you would like to directly place an item into the bulletin, please email your submission to Dana at bchurch2@shaw.ca. Due to being a vacant church, there has been some confusion as to who is responsible for having items appear in the bulletin. We hope that you either talk to your Elder or directly submit to the bulletin. Please note, items directly submitted to the bulletin must be from the immediate family, no prayer request on behalf of the extended family or a friend will be published due to privacy issues. Thank you!

Prayer meeting

There will be a Prayer Meeting on Tuesday, November 13th; at the home of Margaret at 10 a.m. Prayer is important. How important? Scottish theologian T.F. Torrance put it this way: The prayers of the saints and the fire of God move the whole course of the world. They are the most potent, most disturbing, most revolutionary, most terrifying powers that the world knows...all history moves at the impulse of prayer. The real initiative is not held by the riders on the white, red, black and pale horses, but by the saints under the altar, by the prayers of the saints and the fire of God. Our prayers will help Bethel church move forward and grow in Spirit and knowledge!

Please Help Us Give!!
