CHURCH OFFERINGS

Our offering today is for support forthe Mustard Seed Red Deer. The Mustard Seed is a ministry that is seeking to build hope and wellbeing for our most vulnerable citizens through Jesus’ love. Operating out of the 54th street building, we are excited to have the opportunity to plant this Seed that we hope will grow into a strong ministry that changes lives. We want to work with you to ensure that our approach fits with the real needs of people experiencing poverty and homelessness in Red Deer.

We are committed to:

  • Being good neighbours to the people of Red Deer.
  • Walking alongside this community to create a Christ-centred ministry that changes lives.
  • Conducting a needs analysis so we can create targeted programs that are specific to the areas of greatest need.
  • Next Sunday, December 2nd, our offering will be for Ministry Support of Mark, Selina and Levi Patterson. Continue to pray for the family as they work in China.

*In your mailboxes today you will find a World Renew Gift Catalogue. Advent begins on December 2nd; follow Jesus into the lives of the poor through the World Renew 2018-2019 Gift Catalogue. Have fun together, giving gifts that are meaningful and powerful, helping people who live with scarcity to experience Uzima, the fullness that God intends for them. Go to worldrenew.net/gifts to give or call 800-730-3490 to order.

    Next Sunday, December 2nd

Is the start of Advent. Our theme this year is Looking for the Real Jesus. Each Sunday of Advent, we will look at a specific Old Testament prophecy which points us toward Jesus as our Good News, as our King, as our God, as our Peace and as our Light and Salvation. Next Sunday we will welcome Elder August Luymes as he leads us in worship with a message entitled, Rejoice in the Lord Always, based on Philippians 3:1-11.

    All are welcome!

After the morning service on December 2nd the Fellowship Ministry Leadership Team invites you join in fellowship to our next Bethel Potluck. Lasagna & Buns will be provided, please bring a Salad OR Dessert. Please remember to bring enough food for your family plus some extra. All are welcome!

    Food for Thought:

There are so many broken-hearted people and so many who are feeling lost, the singer Rend Collective, in his "My Lighthouse" echoes the words of the Old Testament, assuring us that God's mercies are new every day: "I won't fear what tomorrow brings, with each morning I will rise and sing..." . Because God is so faithful!
