OUR CHURCH FAMILY

Please remember our church family in your daily prayers, at mealtimes and during your personal devotions. Continue to pray for Henry Geldof and Steve Ogi. Remember those who are unable to worship regularly with us: Jennie Bajema, Bill Wildeboer and Rena DeRuiter. Pray also for those who struggle in silence with ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional issues. I thank God, whom I serve, as my ancestors did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers. 2 Timothy 1:3.

Congratulations to Harry Wildeboer as he celebrates his birthday on Saturday. Wishing you a wonderful day filled with our Lord’s richest of blessings with family and friends. J

Bethel would like to extend a very special welcome to Pastor Jacob, his wife Joyce, along with their daughter Melissa, and her son Real. We pray that as you adjust to your new home here in Lacombe as well as your new family here at Bethel. May God bless you as we begin this journey together. We are very excited and look forward to new beginnings. We look forward to enfolding you among us.

Alice Scholing has recently moved to the Seniors Lodge in Lacombe. We pray that your move was a good experience and that our Lord continues to bless you in your new home.

PERSECUTED CHURCH

Areas in Eastern Ukraine

now controlled by Russian backed rebels, have increasingly harsh restrictions on any non-Orthodox religious groups. Christians are facing demands to register, as well as orders to stop all religious activities. Officials have ordered churches to halt public worship or risk punishment. Rebel leaders previously insisted on registration; however, for church leaders who have attempted the process, all applications from Protestant communities have been rejected, making hundreds of churches now illegal. Fearing arrests and other reprisals, many of the churches have ceased public meetings. Please remember the thousands of Christians in Eastern Ukraine. Pray that these believers will be able to stand firm, resting in the strength and reassuring peace that comes from God alone. Despite the severe restrictions and political uncertainty, may the Gospel continue to powerfully spread throughout the region.
