Next Sunday, April 14th

We have the privilege of witnessing the Baptism of Owen & Vanellope, children of Dustin & Melanie Biel. We also celebrate as Pastor Gary Bomhof installs Pastor Jacob Boer to Bethel Christian Reformed Church. A very joyous morning, all are welcome!!

Please remember our church family in your daily prayers, at mealtimes and during your personal devotions. Continue to pray for Henry Geldof and Steve Ogi. Remember those who are unable to worship regularly with us: Jennie Bajema, Bill Wildeboer and Rena DeRuiter. Pray also for those who struggle in silence with ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional issues. I thank God, whom I serve, as my ancestors did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers. 2 Timothy 1:3.

After a nine day stay in the hospital, we thank GOD Jake can be home again. He is doing very well. Jake and Agnes would like to thank you for the visits and the words of encouragement. And above all, all the good wishes and your prayers are very much appreciated.

We feel blessed by our church family! Jake & Agnes Prins

Congratulations to Gerrit Meindersma as he celebrates his birthday today. Wishing you a wonderful day filled with our Lord’s richest of blessings with family and friends. J

Alice Scholing has recently moved to the Seniors Lodge in Lacombe.

Thank you to all who came out to help with the moving of Pastor Jacob, Joyce and their family. Thank you for taking time out of your day, it made for loading and unloading in record time! It was also an enjoyable time spending time with fellow members of our church family.

Continue to pray for our missionaries around the world.

Pastor John Cao (an American citizen), along with his co-worker Jing Ruxia, were carrying on humanitarian work in Myanmar when he was arrested in 2017 while rafting across the border with China, a crossing he frequently made with the knowledge of Chinese authorities. He was convicted of "organizing an illegal border crossing" between China and Myanmar, and thus sentenced to seven years in prison. Despite international pressure, the pastor has had his appeal delayed six times. It is now scheduled to take place on May 22nd. His family has been denied any access for visitation and all letters addressed to him are being screened. His lawyers have expressed concerns for his health, due to a lack of exposure to sunlight and proper healthcare, Pray for Pastor Cao, as well as his family, during this ongoing ordeal. May his appeal be heard soon, resulting in a successful outcome.
