The offering today is for World Renew Refugee Sunday. On this day we celebrate and reflect on the compassionate work of churches across Canada that have reached out in support of refugees in need of protection and have become neighbors to them. World Renew’s refugee sponsorship ministry continues to give refugees, their sponsoring churches, and people around the world new opportunities to see God’s goodness at work. Will you join World Renew in celebrating and giving thanks for these signs of hope?

Next Sunday’s offering will be for the Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre. They provide compassionate support and education for individuals and families impacted by unexpected pregnancy and related issues. They have offices in Red Deer, Olds, Sundre and Rocky Mountain House. All of our programs and services are free, confidential, and are offered in a safe and non-judgmental environment regardless of age, gender, race, or religion.

Taking Risks for Jesus:

We are reflecting on Acts 5:12-32 where the apostles are jailed for preaching about Jesus. While in jail, the apostles are set free by an angel and told to go to the temple courts and tell people about the new life in Jesus. We will not always find it easy to tell others about the new life we have in Jesus, yet this is what Jesus calls us to do!
