UPCOMING SERVICES Bulletin

Next Sunday, March 22nd

is the fourth Sunday of Lent. We will continue our Lenten series by reflecting on Leviticus 23:15-22 and Acts 2:1-13, The Feast of Weeks. This is a feast that reminds us to be generous with the blessings God has given us, especially in the harvest. There are echoes to the story of Ruth and Boaz and to the coming of the Holy Spirit. We will explore how these events are all connected.

OUR CHURCH FAMILY

Please remember our church family in your daily prayers, at mealtimes and during your personal devotions. Remember those who are unable to worship regularly with us: Jennie Bajema, Bill Wildeboer and Rena DeRuiter. Pray also for those who struggle in silence with ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional issues. Continue to pray for our missionaries around the world, Diana Boot, Margaret Njuguna, Albert & Carolyn Strydhorst and John & Marian VanderMeer.

Thank you for all the cards, phone calls, messages and attending the open house for my big Eight O. Much appreciated. Hans

With your help we can flourish in the land. See you at camp!

THE PERSECUTED CHURCH

Afghanistan:

(#2 on the World Watch List) Afghanistan is an Islamic state by constitution; governments etc. are hostile toward adherents of any other religion. Any expression of any faith other than Islam is not permitted to exist. To convert to another faith outside Islam is tantamount to treason because it is seen as a betrayal of family, tribe and country. Pray for Christian converts from Islam as the face strong pressure from family, friends and neighbors and they can even be attacked. Pray for courage and protection. Pray for a softening of the country's leadership.
