Family Corner

During these days isolation, what are you and your family doing to keep busy? There are many different things one can do to keep entertained. Bethel Library will be open during office hours. If your family is looking for something to read, you’re more than welcome to come and pick out a few books for yourself and your children. There is lots of good reading to choose form.

Have you checked out RightNow Media, Focus on the Family, or CRC the Network and Faith Formation Ministries? From Focus on the Family we have Walking through Holy Week.

Located on these sites are many different opportunities to learn and to have fun. The following are some ideas for you to check out.

Groundwork: I Believe the Son Will Judge

The Apostles’ Creed declares that Christ “will come to judge the living and the dead.” Study Mark 13:26-27, Acts 1:11, 2 Peter 3:3-13, and 2 Corinthians 5:10 with Groundwork to discover why believers don’t need to fear Judgment Day and what it means for how we live today. Listen now at GroundworkOnline.com and subscribe to Groundwork's weekly emails for future episodes.

JUST FOLLOW - Check out our children’s programs at www.kidscorner.net. In this week’s episode, “Just Follow,” when Liz and Spike ask tough questions about Christianity, Grandpa responds by giving them an adventure map to follow. Why a map? How does this map help answer questions about following Jesus? Listen now at kidscorner.net and subscribe to KC’s weekly emails for future episodes. Download KC’s 10 Commandments Bookmark to help with your bible reading and daily devotions. kidscorner.net/activities.

At-home Faith Formation Tip:

Count your blessings as a household. When something happens for which you are grateful, write it down or draw it on a piece of paper. Collect these blessings in a bowl or jar, and at the end of the year, reflect on the many ways God has blessed you—and blessed others through you! https://pixabay.com/photos/glass-jars-containers-lights-colors-3875721/ Faith Formation Ministries

Take your small group online.

Even though you may not be able to meet in person, RightNow Media has put together a few ideas that allow you to still meet online to watch and discuss the content together.

DAVID BLAKESLEE It takes more than just skill to transform a lump of clay into something of value- it takes creativity. "And one of the things I love about God is that He is a creative God," says potter David Blakeslee. From his studio nestled along the Arkansas River in Colorado, Blakeslee reflects on making pottery as a metaphor for how the Master Potter forms and transforms lives. In The Potter, you'll see Blakeslee shape, glaze, and fire ceramic works of art. Demonstrating God's workmanship in molding and shaping our lives for His use, this presentation offers a fresh perspective on trust and submission to the Master's divine design and purpose for your life.
